The Keeshond Club is to hold a Breed Specific Seminar and Judging Competence Assessment in accordance with the Kennel Club’s “Best Practice” Guidelines. It is a requirement for judges who wish to award Challenge Certificates in the breed. This will take place on Saturday 18th February 2017 at Roade Village Hall, Bailey Brooks Lane, Roade, Northampton NN7 2LS.  Forms will also be available for those wishing to apply to go on our club’s judging list.  Numbers are limited and places are reserved on a first come first served basis, although judges currently on the club’s lists are given priority.

The day will consist of two parts and candidates may choose to attend a specific session or the whole day.  The first session will consist of a presentation on the breed followed by a Q&A session on the finer points of the standard using dogs typical of the standard, introducing the new illustrated Breed Standard.  Afterwards there will be an opportunity for candidates to take the written test on the Breed Standard, as this is a requirement for taking the judging competence assessment.  The second session will consist of the Judging Competence Assessment, which will be run in accordance with the KC “Code of Best Practice” Guidelines.  This is a requirement for judges who wish to award Challenge Certificates in the breed.
All judges on the A1 list will be sent an invite to attend the seminar for a refresher of the breed standard, with a certificate of attendance at a cost of £10 without lunch and £15 with lunch.

The cost for the morning seminar on the breed standard, including the written test paper and
lunch will be £20.

The cost for the second session consisting of the Breed Judging Competency Assessment,
inclusive of lunch, will be £20.

The cost for the whole day, inclusive of lunch will be £30.
